Rongoā Māori - Mirimiri / Romiromi
ACC claims / EAP funded / Vitae funded
Romiromi/Mirimiri involves bodywork manipulation techniques aimed at alleviating discomfort, making it beneficial for our whanau dealing with persistent injuries, aches, or sprains. Emphasizing the importance of aftercare, we typically provide this information after your initial session.
At Hōkioi Therapy, we believe everyone deserves access to healing and support — no matter their financial situation.
Our koha-based counselling sessions & Mirimiri / Romiromi bodywork are open to all whānau who may not be able to access funded counselling services.
Koha means gift or offering. Instead of a fixed fee, you’re invited to contribute what you can — whether big or small — as a gesture of appreciation and support. This approach is grounded in the values of manaakitanga (care and generosity) and whanaungatanga (connection and belonging).
Our goal is to create a safe, welcoming space for kōrero, healing, and wellbeing, so you can focus on your journey without the stress of financial barriers.
